Water Well Drilling
After the water well is drilled, we install a pump and pressure tank, which extract and regulate the flow of water from the water well. Our installation technicians have over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing water systems. We engineer each water system depending on the needs of your household.

We generally install and service submersible water well pumps, but we can service and source jet pumps and booster turbine pumps if needed to continue your existing setup. We offer a full line of pressure tanks depending on the volume of water your household uses, and we offer all of the critical accessories and plumbing parts that complete the remainder of the water system.

FAQ’s

What is needed to begin the water well drilling process?

Upon your request, a Frontz Drilling representative will come out to your home or property to determine the location of your water well, discuss potential water needs, and coordinate with other contractors in the case of new home construction.

Additionally, all private water systems in the state of Ohio must be permitted by the local county health department and comply with strict regulations regarding the location of the water well and the quality of the water. Frontz Drilling manages the entire permitting process for the homeowner.

How much does a new water well cost?

The cost of a water well is based on many factors, including the depth of the well, type and amount of casing used in the well, distance from the well to the house, and water usage requirements. We offer free quotes to all homeowners prior to starting the drilling process. If you would like a free quote, submit a request for an estimate here

How deep will my well be?

Well depths depend on the geology and hydrogeology of your area and will not be known precisely until the well is drilled. However, we have over 80 years of experience drilling water wells in the Northeast Ohio region and have a deep understanding of the water resources in the region. We will choose the location of the well that maximizes the quantity and quality of water available to your household.

Can you determine the amount or quality of the water?

During the well drilling process, we will provide you with estimates and the progress of your well to ensure adequate water is found. Once the drilling process is completed, we will be able to tell you the quantity and quality of water that was encountered in your well.

How much water will I need?

Water usage varies significantly by household. This depends on the size of your family, whether you have a swimming pool, how much you water your lawn and other considerations. The average person uses 80-100 gallons of water per day, according to the US Geological Survey. Before drilling your water well and installing the water system, we will consult with you to determine your water needs and engineer the best system for your household.

When does the water system get installed in my well?

Once the well drilling process is complete, we will determine the size of the pump and pressure tank that is best suited for your well water system. The water system is installed immediately after the drilling process is complete for existing homes to ensure that your water needs are met. For new home construction, we will work with the other contractors to install the system in accordance with the overall construction of the house and any temporary water needs.

What is required prior to using my well?

As part of the permitting process, the water well must produce a negative bacteria test. At that point, the final permit is issued by the local health department and you may use your water. In rare cases, bacteria tests will come back positive, in which case we will work with you to take the appropriate steps to resolve the situation and have you with water as quick as possible.

What if my well or water system stops working?

We have one of the largest service teams in Northeast Ohio to respond to your issue quickly. Please call our office at (330) 262-5301 to speak with an operator to schedule a visit from one of our service technicians. Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Our technicians are also available after-hours and on the weekends.

We offer free estimate(s) to all homeowners prior to starting the drilling process. If you would like a free estimate, submit a request for an estimate here.
